Yahoo!! My new Nordic Tug 37 (Red Rover) will be here this month! I haven't
written to this list since my first inquiries about trawlers last year but
want to thank everyone who, knowingly or unknowingly, helped me in my quest.
Special thanks to those involved in the recent Trawlerfest in Ft. Myers, FL.
So now a question from a new owner... me. Since most of my boating is done
on the Great Lakes, the question of winter storage is already on my mind. I
have relatives in Tennessee close to the Cumberland River and wonder if
anyone stores their boat in that region. Any snowfall is short lived but I'm
wondering if that is south enough to not lose sleep worrying about frozen
plumbing or a frozen engine.
If it sounds like a good idea, does anyone know of marinas that would store
my trawler for the winter?
Thanks again for all your help,
Don George

Up here in Lake Ontario are a number of marinas who would lovingly
store your tug - in or out of water. And they would guarantee a solid
sheet of ice all around it. I know this because I live on the lake in
my boat all year round and really enjoy getting up several times a
night to break the ice around my boat. Truly very invigorating - can
we count on you for next winter????? George G.
