Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes

I am hoping they will, I have the garmin bluecharts for the areas I want,
with my chartplotter and backup handhelp GPSmap.
These are for a backup. Hopefully, they will work with one of the free
navigation programs.
I have also downloaded the ENC charts, but haven't actually done anything
with them yet either.

I have tried many times over the years to get these charts (east coast) to
download and ACTUALLY interface with programs such as Nobeltec, but never
could. Can you?

I can see easily how to get the charts from the east coast, what about
the great lakes, illinois river, etc?
Anyone found an easy way to get these?
thanks
