Hi Randy,
Here is a site that sells the FX-23 for $259.97, but as you point out
shipping would be added.

Ron,
I am not even going to ask how you know the price comparisons on the
lingerie; -- but rest assured we boaters are a tolerant bunch.  However,
I can say that your going to love perusing the lingerie, as it is all
demonstrated by models, and especially those items that are half off. {;-)

Yes, these places are OK to use.  Virtually all of these web based
merchandisers are based on one of a few selling platforms (like Yahoo's
Store system) and in fact they stock virtually nothing, but rather have
the product shipped direct to you from the manufacturer.  The
manufacturer has nothing to loose, as he has progressively more and more
fingers out there trying to make a sale and get a commission.  These
web-stores know the "transfer" price (more or less the equivalent of
their wholesale price) that they have to work with, and it is up to them
how little gross margin they are willing to work with, the more hungry
for sales, the less margin they take.

Kind of "dog eat dog" but works in your favor.

REPLY
Whether its dollars per square inch of coverage or dollars per pound of
product;  the lingerie products make $200 per gallon bottom paint and $5.00
per gallon diesel fuel look positively  cheap by comparison.

As for maintenance and upkeep of these "sporty " models; they sure make a
trawler look inexpensive  by comparison.  <VBG>

I would also hazard a guess that these models sitting quietly dockside is
more cardiac stress than a sportsfishing boat  going by at 10 knots and
waking you. < grin>.

Although not a boat supplier we have a very active scuba on line store and I
can tell you we stock everything we sell. I believe many others carry a
decent stock. Perhaps it's because we also have a brick and mortar store.
The interent vendors are just stores that many times can operate out of a
warehouse or low cost location. I think if you find a location and the price
is to cheap to be true, guess what he probally doesn't have it. Frankly you
can't have a guy "giving" away product while absorbing the cost of
inventory. Then it becomes incumbent on the buyer to decide wheter to go for
the discounted price and wait or pay a little more and have it. Normally you
just don't get great delivery and really cheap prices out of the same
vendor. At some point you've got to realize price is not the only
consideration when you buy something. Bill

It all comes down to what you determine has VALUE.

When I ran the service business, I always had a sign posted where
customers could see it, it always brought a chuckle.... it simply stated:

You can have it good.
You can have it fast.
You can have it cheap.

/Pick two.
