10/06/13 - Sterling yard / feeders -- PURPLE FINCH (1m), WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROW continue at feeders. Also had SWAINSON'S THRUSH (2 heard in
flight).

From Chris Chinni, John Weeks:
10/06/13 - Granby -- 4 PM; three Snow Geese were gleaning the corn
stubble in a field along with 80-90 Canada Geese on the east side of
Route 10 approx. 1/4 mi north of the intersection with Route 20 in the
center of town.

From Paul Carrier:
10/06/13 - Harwinton, Upton Rd by old dump -- 1 White-crowned Sparrow,
3 Lincoln's Sparrows.

From Steve Mayo:
10/06/13 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park --  2 Bobolink.  Also, 19
White-winged Scoter in the New Haven Harbor, and a Common Raven, 
croaking away overhead at 8 am and again at 9.

From John Pfitzner:
10/06/13 - Clinton yard -- Brown Creeper.

10/05/13 - Moodus(?) -- Once again had opportunity to see an adult
Mississippi Kite. Around 4 pm near causeway between upper and lower
moodus reservoirs.  Flew overhead at about 30 feet, then continued
down the lower lake. Lucky year....
