Fw: Bronze metric bolts

  Hi Lee

One option, if you want to use copper

bolts is to

find
  solid
copper rod, cut to length and with the

appropriate

die,
thread each end. Then use dielectric

grease, washers

and
nuts on each end. The washers and nuts

can be bronze

or
copper. This can work with bronze rod

too, if you can

find
the size you need. I've done this with

appropriate

size
bronze nails, cutting off the heads

and threading

them but
8mm nails might be hard to find though

8mm rod might

be
  more
   readily available.

Guess I should mention that Jill and I

are back in

the
   states, currently in Green Cove

Springs, Fl. Hauled

the
  boat
for its anual sprucing up and should

be back in the

water
  in
a couple of days. We have to hang

around east coast

of
florida for a couple of talks that we

are going to

give,
then, in the spring, plan to head up

to the

Chesapeake.
Missed all you folks, and we're glad

to be back.

Jill says hello, but too tired from

painting the boat

to
  say
more than that. Darn girl, she's up to

10 hour work

days
before she wants a break. Use to be 12

hours, but

give her
credit, she laid around not doing much

while in the

  Bahamas
so it'll take awhile to get her back

up to speed.
