This evening at about 7PM the 5 Yellow-rumped Warblers working the tops of our oak trees turned into 14 Yellow-rumps, 3 Black-throated Greens, 2 Blackpolls, 2 American Redstarts, 2 Male Baltimore Orioles, and a male/female pair of Indigo Buntings (the first ever for our yard). So my three sons and I grabbed our binoculars and stretched out on our backs in the yard and watched the show.
This invasion took about 15 minutes to materialize and lasted about 45 minutes before we returned to only 5 Yellow-rumps.
I can't wait to see what tonight brings to our trees.
