Regarding RAPCO 2804 (Pendulum 2804)...

A big thank you for providing the manual !
I began troubleshooting a few days ago. The OCXO is OK.The GPS module (Trimble 52830) seems to have low sensitivity asit can detect only a one or two satellites. I tried replacing it with a uBlox unitwith an identical footprint but the communication parametersdoes not match which stopped any further attempts so I put
the clock aside but with the manual, I can now proceed.
The indicated fault was "Erroneous lock +/- 5Hz".

-5 Hz is when the DAC is at 0.2V output. It is a paralell loaded AD7846

V e r y expenceive from distributors but several are availableon eBay at acceptable prices. I have to rule out the GPS modulebefore any further decisions.
Once again: Thanks!

Ulf
A consideration. When a ublox starts up the communications parameters
contain the Ublox messages not just NEMA.
Also the baud rate and parity and bit length may be wrong. You should be
able to sniff the old low sensitivity receiver to see what messages its
putting out and the other parameters and then try matching.
Good luck looks like a neat restoration.

There's an application note on the ublox website for the u-centre software that iirc explains the serial port messages.Sent from my Galaxy

I would assume it is TSIP and not NMEA involved here.

Ulf, I have one and probably another working unit. Would you have use for a working unit to compare with? Rapco branded.  You based at the salty front side of Svedala?

Sorry my units are Rapco 1804M. Don’t know how similar that is to 2804.
