Well, Larry, we shall see. From the satellite pictures on the link you
sent, the only thing that will make it through up there is an icebreaker.
The whole northern hemisphere has been much colder this year, not just a
local anomally. It may interest you that the ice cap on Mars has also
shrunk in recent years. Dittos for several other of the planets of which
there are statistics. Must be all the little green men up there running
around in their SUVs.
OR, it is the result of the sun running warmer because of solar-storm
(i.e., sun spot) activity. The latter is empirically demonstrable.
BTW, from information I have heard, polar bears are not diminished in
numbers. The endangered status is more political for an apparent agenda.

No, there are not any known polar ice caps on any of the planets
other than Earth and Mars so I suspect the report you read was
written by an astrologer with an agenda.
