7/23. Bridgeport, Seaside Park 9am - many rain pools on ballfields, with lots of gulls (mainly Ring-billed including my first juveniles of the year), but few shorebirds (3 Killdeer).
Is anyone checking Hammonasset?

After a heavy rain, Ring Bills hit the golf courses to pick up worms driven
to the surface.

I was at Hammo at 10:40 AM and birded for around two hours. Good shorebird diversity manifested in the way of 3 short-billed dowitchers, 3 pectoral sandpipers, 2 solitary sandpipers, many peeps, and sizeable quantities of lesser yellowlegs. Also 1 brown thrasher by the blind at the nature center parking lot. With Jason Rieger
