Greetings!

Do you have a passion for the arts or history? Are you interested in helping make an impact within our community?

Metro Parks is recruiting for new members of the Culture and Heritage Advisory Council. This Council's primary focus areas are arts programming, our new 1% for Art as part of our capital projects implementation, historic preservation and heritage programming. Our 1% arts policy will be a major focus over this year. As part of this advisory council, members will be invited to serve on panels that help choose the artists and scope of work for art instillations, in addition to providing valuable feedback on policy.

The Advisory Council meets the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Most of the meetings are held at the Metro Parks Headquarters at 4702 S 19th Street but occasionally, at the request of the Council, meetings are held at other Metro Parks Facilities such as Fort Nisqually and the WW Seymour Botanical Conservatory. An Advisory Council application form is attached. If you have any other questions please ask them to contact me at Maryt@tacomaparks.commailto:Maryt@tacomaparks.com or 253-305-1022.

Thanks so much for considering being part of this council!

Sincerely,

Mary Tuttle
