BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...
... to all Gators who will be participating in an event... correct that...
beginning their 2023 endurance sports adventure this weekend!
An event a day! We have now topped 365 event entries on our "Who's In?"
event calendar on our way towards 700! This means our team average has
topped one event/day for the first time this year! If you or your youth
Gators add events to your calendar, please let us know so that we can add
those contributions. To review the latest posted version of the calendar
(from last week) click here; a new version will be posted next week...

This is a big weekend for a couple of reasons...
• Tri for the Y indoor triathlon: This event in honor of Brian Kozera,
takes place on Sunday morning! Registration has been extended so if you
would like to join 20+ Gators and youth Gators as an athlete or as a
volunteer, it's not too late! To race, go to this post...

post... https://www.facebook.com/groups/msgators/posts/2225175154333911/
• Our club running sponsor, Keystone Running Store in Pottstown, is having
their GRAND OPENING all weekend starting with a ribbon cutting at 1pm
today! There will be specials and gifts throughout the next 3 days, so we
encourage you to stop by and check out the store and say hello to store
manager and past Gator Carrie Adams! For more details, check out the event
post... https://www.facebook.com/events/266192939314593
The Changing of the Laces! It's time for one of the key moments of our
triathlon year... The "Changing of the Laces"! This is when we transition
from regular shoe laces in your running shoes to elastic laces that enable
you to have speedy transitions because you do not have to tie your shoes!
We'll have an "event" of sorts at or after a club cycling ride in the next
couple of weeks, so watch for details about that. And to be prepared,
while you are visiting Keystone Running Store, pick up a set of lock laces!
Weekend Workouts: We have four workout options over the weekend and keep in
mind that French Creek Racing has also started their weekly Tues/Thurs/Sat
OWS training workouts...
• Saturday 4/15, 8:30am, Keystone Running Store, 200 E. High St, Pottstown:
Group run... https://www.facebook.com/groups/479291044416772
• Saturday 4/15, 8am, Reynolds Dog Park: Gators SRT "To Shawmont and Back"
34 mile group ride. Our average speed will be 16-17mph, so it will be
about a 2 hour ride. If you participate, make it a "brick" workout by
bringing your running shoes and getting in a short 10-15 minute run after
the ride... This type of workout is invaluable for triathletes!
• Sunday 4/16, 8:00am, Steel City Coffeehouse, Phoenixville: RUNegades
Sunday bRUNch group run...
https://www.facebook.com/.../1249068715.../1249068749027154/
• Sunday 4/16, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA indoor pool: Uncoached
group swim
