Note from Frank Mantlik for those who bird in Stratford.
"Main Street is closed between Sniffens Ln. and Dorne Dr. for 4
months. The detour takes you on Rt. 113 past the Sikorsky Airport
entrance."  (For those familiar with the area but not street names,
Dord Dr takes you to Short Beach park, while Sniffens Ln leads to
Knapp's Landing.  The closed section is along tne end of the runway.)

11/08/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 8:15 AM; Lark Sparrow in
same area near playground at west end.

From Jerry Connolly and The Audubon Shop Saturday Bird Walk Crew:
11/08/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- LARK SPARROW (20 yds
west of Campground playground with sparrow flock), 4 NORTHERN GANNETS,
VESPER SPARROW by some around noon.

11/08/14 - Farmington, Batterson Pond -- 6 LESSER SCAUP.

11/08/14 - Norwalk, Norwalk Millpond -- one EURASIAN WIGEON.

11/08/14 - Norwalk, Mill Pond -- Eurasian Widgeon.

11/08/14 - Windsor, Waterside Crossing -- 1 PM; 2 CACKLING GEESE
(mixed in with about 400 Canada Geese).  The 2 Cackling Geese were on
the lawn next the Insurance Buildings staying within close proximity
to one another.  These were both light-breasted birds as opposed to
the Bloomfield Cackling Goose which is dark-breasted.

11/08/14 - Greenwich, Quaker Ridge -- Sub-Adult Golden Eable seen at
2:12 by 4 observers.

11/08/14 - Windsor, Northwest Park -- afternoon; Winter Wren, late
Tennessee Warbler, 3 Fox Sparrows.

11/08/14 - Moodus, Moodus Reservoir -- morning; at the north end of
the reservoir, a fly-over Common Raven.

11/08/14 - Ansonia, Ansonia Nature & Recreation Center -- American
Woodcock, Winter Wren, Black Vulture, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Purple
Finch, Fox Sparrow, Common Raven.

11/08/14 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- Yellow-headed Blackbird
in a flock of mixed blackbirds. The extensive yellow head and white
wing-patches were seen well.

Milford, Mondo Ponds -- hen Northern Pintail.

6:17 AM.

over salt marsh during very high tide.
