From our experience, the charts for Mexico and south are not up to date nor
accurate and can be 2 to 4 miles off. You can use offsets to compensate. I
don't think there are any newer or more accurate charts. Same with paper,
which we also have. We just remain well offshore, use radar, d/s and
approach land in daylight carefully.
