Try using rubbing alcohol, you may have to use it out of the bottle,
I am
not sure how it works in extreme cold but I know it works into the
teens.
There are two types of rubbing alcohol, one is 70 % isopropanol, the
other is 99 % isopropanol. I'v used the latter version at the
colddest temperature nature can throw at us, not only for cleaning
windshields but also to squirt it (with a small syringe) into frozen
doorlocks on cars. Excellent to have around.
