01/15/14 - Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center -- 10 AM to 1
PM: Many visitors today because of the celebrity Snowy Owls. First
(and easily seen) Snowy Owl was sitting on the osprey nest from
10-11:40 & it then moved to the male osprey perch. It was preening
and scratching its head. The second Snowy Owl was far out across the
marsh sitting on the mudflats at about 10 oclock from the osprey nest.

01/15/14 - Milford, Merwin Point -- Female HARLEQUIN DUCK (with small
flock of 10 Greater Scaup) close in to right (west) of rocky islet
with American flag. No doubt same bird that was here in since 12/14. I
had not looked here at all this year.
Stratford, Short Beach -- 3 PM; immature GLAUCOUS GULL resting on
gravel bar to left of offshore breakwater.

has a dark bill and a yellow eye.

Blue-winged Teal hen, Northern Shoveler hen. Both were found by
Patrick Dugan earlier in the day.
