The Long Point Bird Observatory sightings board is up and running again for
LPBO's 60th season.

It was a fairly quiet week at Long Point, but highlights for the entire
period January 1 to April 7, 2019 are summarized in the LPBO Sightings Board

Visitors are always welcome at the Old Cut Research Station, and daily
birding hikes depart Old Cut one hour after sunrise. Follow @LongPointBirdOb
on Twitter http://facebook.com/LPBObs , @LPBObs on Facebook
http://facebook.com/LPBObs , or @longpointbirds on Instagram
https://www.instagram.com/longpointbirds/  for daily updates on birding at
Long Point and activities of LPBO.

If you enjoy these updates and wish to support the research, training, and
conservation projects of the Long Point Bird Observatory, please consider
supporting the Cygnus Crusaders in their Great Canadian Birdathon
https://www.canadahelps.org/s/pPbF3 , or better yet, conduct your own
Birdathon for LPBO https://www.canadahelps.org/s/pPbF3 .

Contact me off-list if you'd like to be a part of the LPBO Bird Alert Group
(requires a mobile phone and WhatsApp) which is the front-line for birds of
interest in the Long Point area, but birds of provincial significance will
also be posted to Ontbirds.

Directions: To get to Long Point, follow the birds, or head south on Hwy 59
from the 401 until you hit the lake. You can find all of the locations
mentioned within the Long Point Birding
Trail<http://www.birdscanada.org/longpoint/index.jsp?targetpg=lpbt
