This storm blew through here yesterday. We had large white cap waves in Izmir bay.
All the boats in the marina are fine, but those moored stern too against the sea wall got white water into their boats. It has been a very long time since that happened.
This was not a “named” storm but is was “ a named” wind that tends to show up around this time every year. Somebody hundreds of years ago cataloged them.
This one was one day early and caught the weather forecasters and boats very much by surprise.
I understand it normally is late when it is not on time.

Yo, Lee. I notice some boats did survive while others alongside them went under. Since you said this had not happened in a very long time, I imagine a certain amount of complacency had set in.
