BUY, SELL AND TRADE TRAWLERS AND TRAWLERING GEAR
View all threadsAm replacing Sanderling's 20 amp TrueCharge charger and monitor with a
larger charger/inverter combination to accommodate our new
cruising/anchoring patterns. The TrueCharge 20 works fine and as
advertised; it's just that the amperage output is too low to bring the
battery bank up quickly when running the generator at anchor.
You can see the specs for the charger at
http://www.xantrex.com/products/product.asp?did=563&p=4
The charger and monitor together run about $320.00 at West Marine. These
were installed in April 2000.
You can have both (charger and monitor) for $200.00 plus packing and
shipping by the cheapest method, which should run around $40.00 at the
most. (I'll pay anything over $40.00 myself.)
Also available will be a Link 20 (installed June 2001) for another $250.00
($349.00 at West new today). See it at
http://www.brokenlegdave.com/Manufacture/Heart_Interface/link_20.htm You'll
need to get an installation kit consisting of a twisted pair cable to go
with it.
User manuals and installation instructions are included in price.
All three items (TrueCharge 20, monitor, and Link 20) for $400.00 plus
packing and shipping by cheapest method (I'll pay anything over $40.00)
No guarantees, but all items are working just fine.
All will be available around November 1st, 2003 and the prices are good
until then.
