I asked Capt. Hugh "Buck" Wilde to join our group and both comment and link to the build pictures of this 45 foot passagemaking cat he is helping to build. I talked with the boat's owner today. He has experience with a 39 foot Prout sailing cat sailing to the BWI, as well as a long history of sailing monohulls, and has gone to a passagemaking power cat. I am impressed with the build quality and design. I am also glad to see an ocean crossing cat in this 45 foot size length. The speculation is 1 mile per gallon at 25 knots and 3 plus miles per gallon at lower speeds, giving her true trans Atlantic range on 730 gallons of fuel.
I hate to like to another forum, but that seems to be the only way to see the photos and discussion: http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/450831-45-b-b-powercat-out-shop.html Hopefully this will bring the discussion of this vessel and several others under construction back to this site!

Bob and others--
I have lifted the ban on attachments on Power Catamaran List as a test.
Previously, members were encouraged to provide links to locations on the Net where the photos were available. The rationale behind the ban was two-fold: Eliminate the chance for virus infections. Avoid lengthy download times when people post large files, often inadvertently, or when people upload way too many photos.
So, attachments now are permitted as a test. They are available to regular subscribers. Digest subscribers won't receive attachments because of Mailman software limitations—and so your mailbox isn't overwhelmed.
Let's see how it goes with photos included in posts.

Should have written thusly:
Attachments now are permitted as a test on Power Catamaran lList. They will be delivered directly to regular subscribers. Digest subscribers won't receive attachments because of Mailman software limitations—but the digest will include links to where the images can be viewed.
Let's see how it goes.

Another possibly useful move would be to highlight the link to power catamaram list, ie, "To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Power-Catamaran Archives." It shows up here in this message but on the PCW page, it is not highlighted as an active link as on other list pages.
