Good Morning Birders,
It was quite a blustery morning at the Tip with winds coming in from the
east. The birders which braved the winds noted a Sanderling, a few Dunlin.
Also seen were two Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
Early on it was birdie on the west side near the Tip, but it had settled
off as the morning progressed.
Other areas where birds were noted were Botham Loop, Woodland Trail, West
Beach Trail but birding was generally spotty.
About 18 species of warbler have been noted thus far including Prairie
Warbler, Prothonotary, N. Paula, Cape May, Black-throated Blue, American
Redstart and others.
An early Olive-sided Flycatcher was reported from the West Beach Trail
north of Dune. A Golden-winged Warbler was found in Sleepy Hollow parking
area and another was noted in Blue Heron.
The birding for the weekend looks pleasant
