Great!

Looks like you'll need to build the services layer first, before the
application layer.

Hi Yousuf, you were correct it was a mix up with my bashrc files, I had
more than one with conflicting information, this has now been corrected and
the build went ahead but I have a new error to cause build failure

‘failed to execute goal on project cap-impl: could not resolve
dependencies for project org.collectionspace:cap-impl:jar:4.5: could not
find artefact org.collectionspace.services.orgcollectionspace.services.common-api:jar:4.5
in collectionspace-remote-repos (http://nightly.collectionspace.org/
artifactory/remote-repos) any help concerning this error would be great,

general question concerning collectionspace, my main goal will be to
customise the interface and setup in order to use for an entomology
collection we have in our museum. I’m very new to collectionspace so just
wanted to get my head around how I would go about creating and editing my
own tenant.

I am assuming i would clone an existing tenant and make it my museum
tenant, and then to proceed to edit the available files html/css/ etc to
suit?

many thanks for your help in advance

Did you execute "source ~/.bashrc"?

Hi Yousuf, thank you for the prompt reply, I have had a look at my bashrc
and all looks ok, port number is set correctly, the only difference is i’m
using java 1.8, still scratching my head a little…

thanks

Hi Paul,

This one looks easy.  Make sure you've set your environmental variables
properly in the .bashrc file located in your cspace users home directory.
https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/DOC/Installing+on+Ubuntu+LTS :
see the part where it says "Setting the CollectionSpace Environment
Variables".

Best,

Yousuf
