Workshop description:
This seminar will focus on commonly prescribed psychotropic drugs, their mechanisms of action and side effects. We will also look at dosing regimes and how to encourage adherence to medication use. Interactions that occur between psychtropic and recreational drugs (eg alcohol) will also be discussed
Jennifer Cornish is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, Macquarie University. She obtained her PhD in Neuropharmacology from Monash University and has researched in the field of psychotropic drugs and addiction for over 15 years.
