Is there any work on making a customizer for sites other than Thingiverse?

I'd love for Libre3D or some similarly opensource site to have opensource
designs with customizer options.

Is this under development?

If not, where would one suggest it?

Haven't heard of Libre3D before, just took a look, and I doubt that
anything is being worked on given that their FAQ says they are still on
OpenSCAD 2014.03.

There's also a contact form on the same FAQ page.

https://www.thingiverse.com/ is not open source, but it is was has
inspired our implementation of the customizer.

You may want to take a look:
https://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/things

Please note that the syntax of the openscad customizer differs slightly
from the thingiverse syntax.

It is details, but details may matter for a specific design.

So be prepared for some fine adjustments in the scad file going "eitherway".

With kind regards,

Michael Frey

Thanks! I did contact them, but my thought was that anyone who was working
on that would be a member here.

I'd prefer to not get entangled w/ Thingiverse --- Libre3D is far more
appealing --- just needs the customizer, and if it could just use an
OpenSCAD file directly, without modification, that would be perfect.
