Birders:

Mark your calendars for the 26th Annual Meeting of the Connecticut
Ornithological Association, which is being held on Saturday, March 20
at Chapman Hall, Middlesex Community College, Middletown, CT.  The
COA Annual Meeting will prove to be one of the outstanding birding
events of the year.  The meeting features the following speakers:
Alan Brush, on color and plumage in birds; Olivia Gentile, "Birding
Planet Earth:  The Passion and Adventrues of Phoebe Snetsinger";
Margaret Rubega, on chimney swifts in Connecticut; Greg Hanisek and
Mark Szantyr, "The Art and Science of Rare Bird Identification".

The Annual Meeting also features the COA marketplace, the COA raffle
and silent auction, the 2010 Mabel Osgood Wright Award and the 2010
Betty Kleiner Memorial Award.  The Registration Form for the meeting
(with a line for signing up for the buffet lunch) is available at the
COA website, www.ctbirding.org.  Information on 2010 COA membership
renewals and new memberships also is available at the COA website.
