From Jim Zipp and Ryan Zipp:
04/16/14 - Guilford -- This afternoon about 4PM my son Ryan and I had
a SWALLOW-TAILED KITE flying high from east to west in the area of the
parking area by The Stone House.  Briefly soared with an imm redtail,
a couple osprey and 3 bald eagles.  Got good record shots but it was
really high and moving steadily to the west.

From Keith Mueller, Frank Mantlik, Patrick Comins, Paul Paul
Cianfaglione:
04/16/14 - Southport, Southport Beach -- 10:10 AM; Adult Little Gull
and first cycle Black-headed Gull.  10:34 AM; everything flew away.
Little Gull returned at 1:15 PM.  1:40 PM; 3 Little Gulls.

From Tina Green:
04/16/14 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park, near the fenced in white
pipes on left after entering -- Vesper Sparrow.
Weston, Trout Brook Valley (Bradley Rd / Purple Trail) -- 2 Brown
Creeper, Winter Wren.

From Tricia Reid:
04/16/14 - Mansfield Center, yard -- At my home feeders, several Pine
Siskins.

From Angela Dimmitt:
04/16/14 - New Milford subdivision -- American Woodcock flushed by
accident from nest with 3 eggs, 20 feet from house, wood near edge of
lawn.  House adjacent to swampy woodlands.

From Paul Desjardins:
04/16/14 - East Granby -- afternoon, about a dozen Rusty Blackbirds
seen from the rails to trails.

From Arthur Shippee
04/16/14 - Hamden, Upper Lake Whitney -- Blue-winged Teal, Black
Vulture.

From Steve Mayo:
04/16/14 - Bethany, yard -- American Woodcock flushed from the oak
leaf litter today, in my back yard.  It jumped and fluttered off just
a few yards and settled back down.  Amazing.
