Dear Colleagues,

A quick question from my Japanese Studies colleague.  Are there a lot of studies/sources on Kaifeng imperial palace as it was during the Northern Song?  She's particularly interested in how empresses and imperial consorts resided in the palace, I think. How big each room might have been.  How they were placed within the building, etc.  We are aware that a current "palace" in Kaifeng city is a reconstruction and the original one was burned down when the Jin entered the city.  But we are hoping that there might be archaeological reports or secondary source that have analyzed textual materials...  Thank you for whatever advice you may be able to give us.
