There are many times when I don't clean a paint can thoroughly before
putting the top back on.  When I re-use it, I end up with a can that is
difficult to seal again.  While shopping at Sherwin-Williams for paint I was
able to get new empty one qt cans with tops.  This should save a bundle of
money, especially when I have those gallon containers that are about 20%
full.

Not to mention the savings in storage space.  Good idea, Terry.

I discovered a product called "Bloxygen" that helps keeps oil based paints,
etc for later use.  It consists of three heavy gases that displace the
oxygen from the surface of the paint.  For a quart can, shoot seconds worth
in the nearly-closed lid and seal it shut.  Four seconds for a gallon.  I
always hated tossing all left over spoiled paints!  The Bloxygen can feels
very light!  I thought I has been cheated when it came in the mail!

Their web site is at  www.bloxygen,com

I have no financial connection with them.  Just a happy customer.
