For those who follow Steve and Linda Dashew's work, perhaps exploits is
a better word, you might find they're on-going analysis of fuel
consumption and operating costs of their new "un-sailboat" interesting.
They compare the costs of operation of their last sailboat design
series, Beowulf, to that of their new powerboat. She's no trawler, but
she is unquestionably a passagemaker. They conclude that their sailboat
was more expensive even with oil at $60 per barrel.
