Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsScott & all,
We are departing Chattanooga December 10th on our loop (better late than
never). Our friends Doug & Leslie on Happy Clamz did a BLOG that looked a
lot like what we wanted, so I did as they had and went to www.blogger.com .
It was as easy as 1-2-3. It's free, easy to set up and maintain and allows
comments (which you can elect to moderate or not). Happy Clamz' blog is at
http://www.leslieanddoug.blogspot.com/ and ours is at
http://pogopelli.blogspot.com . They should give you an idea whether that
format would suit your purpose. There are some limitations, of course, when
compared to a full-on website, but we found it suited our needs perfectly.
So far, I'm delighted.

Hello all,
In the spring (June), Mary and I will be starting our loop from
Massachusetts.
One of my chores this winter is to get a web site up and running. What is
the
easiest way to do this? What can I expect to pay for hosting? I have seen
some very nice sites that have been done by Loopers and am wondering how
difficult this project will be. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
MAry & SCOTt

The good news is most of us have
websites where we recorded the places as we did the trip, and expressed our
impressions while they were fresh and clear.
