Alcohol stoves are the devil's invention. Alcohol burns with a weak flame

gives an opressive smell in closed quarters. It takes twice as long to boil
a
pot of water as with a propane or butane stove. Alcohol pressure stoves
require sleight of hand to get the burners to ignite. The fuel is also hard
to obtain in many locations. The only virtue of alcohol as a fuel is that
accidental alcohol fires can be extinguished with water - that is its
raison
d'etre for marine useage
Larry--
You can die from starvation waiting for your food to cook on alcohol or risk
explosion from gas--I'll choose the latter fuel and take the chance of making
a crispy,well-fed corpse rather than endure the slow, lingering death of food
deprivation.
