The best solution is the Hyper Juice unit.  It has a large battery, and plug for 12 volt as well as 110 volt charging and directly running these Macs from a cigarette lighter plug.  The unit we have is the HyperJuice Magic Box.  You do have to cut up a some power unit to use the patented magnetic coupling for the Mac Book or air.  There are cheap cords available.  As I recollect we have a hundred watt battery, which also has USB output ports as well as the magsafe connector--12 volt or 110 volt input to charge the battery and /or run the lap top.  It will recharge an I phone 19 to 20 times--an I pad Air several times, and the MacBook Air several times.
