Yesterday was busy.  I invited Emily Grace (Tom Lawler's N46-20), Pelican
Bay (Marty's Kaddy Krogen 42) and Whiskers a catamaran over for snacks and
drinks that evening.  So, the morning was spent cleaning up Jenny.  It's
nice to have a pleasure event to drive you to do what needed to be done
anyway.  With Jenny all shiny, I went in to shore with Emily Grace and
Pelican Bay to do some shopping and show them the town.  They were
pleasantly surprised having read Van Saints decade old description.  This
town has a lot to offer.

Whiskers stopped by the pharmacy I pointed them to and thanked me profusely
for doing so.  The prices there are incredible, maybe 1/10 or 1/20 of what
they are in the states and no prescriptions needed.  They got 3 courses of
Ciprol for something like $2.00 and their heart medicine for next to nothing
too.  My Lisinoprol was costing about $1.80 per pill in Colombia and I got
it here for $.30 per pill.  I'm going to stock up before I leave.  But, the
price is pharmacy specific.  The other one I went to here was the same price
as Colombia.

On my list was a new set of glasses.  Over the past 18 months some
disappeared, some were broken, some left on other boats.  It was time since
I no longer had enough for the company that evening.  I found a nice set of
six short glasses and a nice set of medium sized tall ones.  While parting
with old glasses is a little sad, it is really nice to have new shiny ones.
The short glasses worked great for rum and soda and the tall ones worked
great for the crevasas.  I was worried about the tall ones being thrown
about in the cabinet, but figured out they would be fine standing in a cup
cake tin.  I love it when I make these little discoveries.

The party was a lot of fun with good people and munchies.  The three other
boats are waiting here for weather before heading across the Mona Passage to
Puerto Rico.  They all are headed for Trinidad for the hurricane season.
They will need to really focus on moving to make it down there by June.

Nicholas thoroughly enjoyed the company.  Emily Grace brought their daughter
over and they had fun.

Both Emily Grace and Bay Pelican have Magma or Magma copy flopper stoppers
and they seem to work well.  They only deploy on one side though due to
their lack of TPS rigging.  They both have hydraulic stabilizers.  Tom has
done an incredible amount of work on Emily Grace.  He is inventive and an
expert cabinet maker from what I saw.
