Following is part of what I got in a message a few minutes ago from Verizon
about how to handle problems like i have been having sending BellSouth email
account mail through my Verizon National Access air card:
We apologize for the issues that you are experiencing sending e-mails. Some
ISPs (Internet Service Providers) do not allow their customers to send email
from other networks such as Verizon Wireless' NationalAccess and
BroadbandAccess services. To accommodate Verizon Wireless customers who have
email accounts that do not allow relaying, Verizon Wireless has implemented
an outbound SMTP mail server for you to be able to send your email.
This information can also be found on our website
(www.verizonwireless.comhttp://mail.google.com/mail/www.verizonwireless.com)
under the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Please use the link below to be

You can use the Verizon Wireless outgoing SMTP e-mail server to send email.
To be able to utilize this service, you will need to register on the
vtext.com website for a free Vtext account. You will be sent a temporary
password via TXT Messaging during Vtext registration.
I will be trying this solution out tonight after work.
