There was a thread a few weeks ago on copper foil for SSB grounds. WM has a
roll of 50' for $69.99. Defender is sold by the foot and comes in about the
same. It's .003 mil. Does this stuff have a Mylar or other backing to reduce
the chance of tearing during the installation? Does anyone have a cheaper
source?

Roofing supply outfits have copper flashing in rolls = I've seen it in 1
foot widths.  I think it's thicker than .003.  Not sure offhand what the
price is.

Larry, I too would recommend a roofing company for your foil since it will be thicker. Having said that I have done many installs with the WM foil and other marine suppliers. At no time have I ever seen it tear. Chuck

Morning LARRY-

Another place to look for copper foil are the mechanical-A/C installers-duct makers. I've been able to obtain various thickness of copper sheet metal from places like this.
