TWL: Diesel fuel filter

I just discovered a problem I didn't know I had until now.  When I bought
my boat there was a box of filters in the engine room.  I have a FRAM fuel
filter housing.  It is an FCS 1136M.  The replacement filters in my box
were CCS 1136  I used them up and when I went to replace them from Boatus I
discovered that they were for gasoline instead of diesel.

They sell two different replacement elements for diesel fuel, one is a fuel
separator the other is a fuel coalescer.  My question is what do I
need?  Do I need both?

Also what is the effect of using the filters meant for gasoline?

Thanks for any help.
