Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsDadi,
They have 200 foot long cruise boats (Circle Line) going thru the East
River, Harlem River and Hell Gate. It gave the old sailing ships a bad
time but modern powered boats have no problem at all.
There is the occasional report of kids dropping stones and debris from
bridges overhead, but that is rare, and can happen anywhere.
It's a nice trip, and it's safe, I've made it dozens of times, all without
incident.

Hi All,
Does anybody have any experience cruising the Harlem River (New York),
from
East river (Hell Gate) to Hudson river? Is it safe? Our draft is 4,2' and
clearance 21,5'
Thanks,
