Observers:

Visitors:
Surprising number of visitors on the tower today! Most from the Windsor
area, and I got to chat with them about stuff like the raptor migration,
optics, and other such topics!

Weather:
It was a beautiful day, despite the disappointing strong SW winds.

Raptor Observations:
It was a surprisingly good day! It didn't take long for me to figure out
how the day was going to go....nearly constant scoping of the North shore.
Of the 147 total raptors recorded, maybe about 35 were visible to the naked
eye. All 3 of today's highlights occurred between 11-12, first with two
Rough-legged Hawks, one following shortly after the other, then an un-aged
Golden Eagle at about 11:45. Unfortunately the Goldie was distant, and I
could only make out some white/pale on the upperwing, but not underwing of
tail.

Non-raptor Observations:
Many of the ducks normally on the marsh were hiding from the wind for most
of the day. For the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32462620

Predictions:
Strong North winds all day, hopefully we will get a good push of raptors!
Plus partially cloudy skies for spotting!
