Feel free to join us at 411 Walnut St. In Green Cove Springs. That's St.
Brendan's Isle. We have never actually been there but we know a TON of other
cruisers who "live" there also...must be one of them damm hippy communes!

As if one needs an excuse to take a cruise up the St Johns River, stopping at
Green Cove Spring can be a highlight. The city has a dock for 4 or 5 boats
(was $10 overnight).

Latitude: 29059.670'N
Longitude: 081040.460'W

It is right at the end of Walnut St. Take a walk up the street and visit your
homestead while picking up your mail.

I've been following this thread with great interest. My wife and I are in the
process of selling our house and moving aboard our trawler. We need to find a
mail forwarding system that we can use that would allow us to keep a Canadian
address, even though we plan on cruising the US and the Caribbean. Are there
any Canadians on the list that any experience with this?
Thanks in advance,

St Brendan's Isles is not actually physically on Walnut St. they moved a
couple of years ago...what mess all those truck everywhere... :).  I live
comfortably in a small unit #8227 and have had the pleasure of meeting the
staff there several times.

I am puzzled about the Green Cove Springs City Dock...been to this town(to
the actual spring at the park where the dock is numerous times but can not
recall a dock that allows or that you would want to over night at.

As a fellow dweller at 411 Walnut, we drove to Green Cove Springs to check
it out.  I'm afraid the building at that address is not very impressive.

But,  like others have said, great mail service.

Yes, they are there. Although we anchored out, we actually walked them when we went to the city hall. They are essentially behind the city hall. Talk about growth, I can remember when Green Cove Springs had nothing and was nothing. Big changes overcame the town, same as in all of Florida.

Joe, is that where you had your boat commissioned?
