Hello again,

I'd like to send out the announcement soliciting nominations for the Literacy Leadership Awards this week. Here are the categories that I've identified. In all cases the person should have an established record of active support for adult literacy programs and the adult literacy field.

  1. A member of the U.S. Senate

  2. A member of the U.S. House of Representatives

  3. A state / local political leader, such as a governor or mayor

  4. A federal agency that has made a clear, concerted effort to increase outreach to adults with limited formal education

Any and all suggestions for changes/additions are welcome. Thanks!

Deborah

I think we should continue to also make awards to learner and/or
practitioner leaders people from our field.
