I represent a municipality in southeastern PA that has multiple leases for cellular provider hardware atop two of the municipality's water tanks. I was wondering if anyone with a similarly situated municipality or authority could share monthly rental payments from the cellular providers, or whether anyone is aware of a survey or something similar on these payments. My Borough's leases were all negotiated in the late 1990s with automatic renewals that are coming due now. They were mostly in the neighborhood of $1500 per month back then with 3% annual escalators that have them all at around $2,200 a month or so. They are uniformly now seeking to reduce the monthly payments back to around 1,800 with two percent annual increases.
