Just in from Japan I spent 4 hours listening for the Yellow Rail in Old
Saybrook last night (2100 to nearly 0100) with no success. Some species
noted (all by audio) were Common Nighthawk, 2 Virginia Rails,
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, Green Heron, and overhead passage migrants of
several Swainson's Thrushes, approximately 40 Warblers, and an Indigo
Bunting.
