timeout setting causing duplicate requests?

Hi all,

We're building a client and seeing duplicates of every request to the
server. It’s as if there is a very short timeout on the client and it
resends the requests before the server has had a chance to respond to the
first. Are there any timeout settings that would be ~1 second that we can
adjust?

Thanks very much,
