Haven't seen this mentioned, but ammonia based refers in RV's in the 1980's
suffered some type of (air?) lockup and would not start.
The solution or fix was not complicated. They had to be removed from the wall
enclosure and laid down, and left in that position for a few hours while the
ammonia redistributed in the lines.
After that, they started normally. Has anyone had a similar experience? I only
learned this after I yanked out an ammonia refer and replaced it. Would have
saved a lot of $$$ had I known this trick.
