From Paul Cianfaglione:

1 CACKLING GOOSE, 1 BRANT.

From John Oshlick with Greg Hanisek:
11/26/12 - New Haven, East Shore Park -- 3 Cave Swallows, 1
Orange-crowned Warbler.

From Brian Kleinman:
11/26/12 - Bloomfield, Bloomfield High School Athletic Fields -- 2
SNOW GEESE mixed in with 60-70 Canada Geese.  Presumably these are the
two same geese that were here last year.

From Jay Carlisle:
11/26/12 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- Had a single calling
redpoll perch momentarily on Willard's Island & then continue West.
Also 2 flocks totaling > 30 Red Crossbills were flying north along
road as I headed out to Meig's Point.

From Jan Collins:
11/26/12 - Somers, 9th District Rd -- 2 PM while walking the dog
around the neighborhood noticed lots of geese in the pasture at the
corner of 9th District and Billings Rd so stopped to check them out
and found the BARNACLE GOOSE.  Half hour later decided to check out
any geese at the farm pond on 9th District and Hutton Rd and had the
SNOW GOOSE, and the immature BRANT. Since I was on a roll, headed down
to Broad Brook Mill Pond and had 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE in with
a couple thousand Canadas.  Forgot to mention also had (finally) 1
CACKLING GOOSE at Broad Brook Mill.

From Paul & Doug Carrier:
11/26/12 - Harwinton, yard -- 15 Common Redpoll flyover.

From Annie and Mike Perko:
11/26/12 - Plainfield, Central Village, Fish Hatchery -- around noon;
Winter Wren near brook adjacent to Pasture Pond which is lst parking
area to the right of the Hatchery as you drive down the road.

From Kevin Finnan:
11/25/12 - Harwinton, Route 118 -- a fly-over, female Red Crossbill
on Route 118, just east of the intersection with Route 8.
Torrington -- A Common Raven over Route 4, near the intersection with
University Drive.

From Dan Rottino:
11/25/12 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 18 White-winged
Crossbills flew into the West end pines.  Seen by two other birders,
but then a few flew off.  No reds.  Not nearly as many as the previous
weekend.  Cold and Windy.
