Durham, Wallingford, Meriden ponds and reservoirs: BARNACLE GOOSE

10/26 Carolyn Cimino with Hank Golet:  We visited several ponds  and
reservoirs in Durham, Wallingford, and Meriden today.

Here is where we went and what we saw or didn't see:

Pistapaug Pond - Durham/Wallingford:

10 ruby-crowned kinglets
200+ ruddy ducks

McKenzie Reservoir - Wallingford, once at 10AM and once again at 1PM when
we were joined by Buzz Devine.  Neither time did we see the  GWFG.

BARNACLE GOOSE
1 northern shoveler f.
1 hooded merganser f.
5 ruddy duck
50+ green-winged teal
10 killdeer
2 great egret
1 great blue heron
approx. 300 Canada geese

Bishop's Pond - Meriden:

160 Am. wigeon
3 northern shoveler (imm.)
50 green-winged teal
40 Canada geese

Greenbacker's Farm Pond - Durham

1 hooded merganser m.
100 Canada geese    (no GWFG)

phoebes and yellow-rumps also in most of these spots
