We will be discussing the budget/financials, matches/fixtures, social events, fundraisers, the new league structure, reviewing goals for coming year and planning for them, electing officers and appointing positions within the club (see below for the nomination procedure), discussing the new selection process, and collecting dues.
FYI the Coaches are tracking who comes to the AGM. I can guarantee this will factor into selections (overall club commitment plays into their decisions)We will also have a current list of those who have already volunteered for an event.

There is a Facebook Event Page here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1655595511326184/

Need your nominations this week for the following positions:PresidentVice PresidentTreasurerMatch SecretarySelectors (1 Forward, 1 Back)
And start thinking about whether you are willing to volunteer for any of the following positions:PurserEquipment Manager ( Sylver has already accepted a nomination regarding this position)Field Set-Up ManagerSocial ChairpeoplePublicity ChairpersonWebsite ManagerNew Player Inquiry ResponderVeteran Affairs Chairman - (Alaska has already accepted a nomination for this position)
Committees will be filled as well:Tour CommitteeSocial CommitteePublicity CommitteeOld Boys CommitteeRecruitment/Retention CommitteeSponsorship/Fundraising CommitteeWheelchair Committee

  • Look through them and submit your nominations to Aaron by email (you are allowed to nominate yourself). If you are currently in a position, and would like to put yourself forward to continue in that position, Aaron still needs you to tell him. Aaron will close the email nominations by friday night at 11:59p. In person nominations will close at the end of practice on Thursday (8/27)

  • Nominees we be notified (if they didn't self-nominate), and be allowed to stand for election or step out (you technically have until the AGM, but the sooner you make your decision, the better).

  • A list of all of the email nominees will then be published on  Thursday evening(8/27).

  • Nominees may opt to prepare a position statement (800 words would probably be the maximum) explaining why they would be the right candidate for the job. Candidates should have these statement turned in by Thursday night.

  • If you have statements: Those statements should be put together in one email and sent out to the club on Wednesday night (8/26).

  • This does allow for absentee voting, but only for extenuating circumstances. You must email Aaron with your reason you can't make it to the AGM. If your excuse is allowed, then he will take your vote. Absentee votes would need to be in by 1pm on Friday, to allow for tabulation.

  • Print-outs of the position statement email will be provided at the AGM.

  • We can either give each candidate a minute or two (timed) to talk at the AGM, or read their prepared statement aloud, before voting.

  • Absentee votes would be added to in-person votes when voting takes place, so winners may be immediately announced.

All,
Please get your nominations in ASAP.
Remember that the Coaches are tracking participation in both volunteer events and mandatory meetings such as this.

Also our key sponsor, Alan O'Gorman from The Irish Rover, will be on hand to introduce himself to some of the new people and to go over the current partnership with the club in addition to opportunities going forward.

Be there!

Subject: Fall Annual General Meeting & Elections - REMINDER

This Friday Gents!! We will be having our Fall AGM at 7:00- 9:00pm on Friday, 8/28/2015.
Knights of Columbus Hall
1555 Grant Street
Denver, CO 80203

Parking is available on the street, or in the main lot east of the building.

This is a mandatory meeting for all current Harlequin players.

I can guarantee this will factor into selections (overall club commitment plays into their decisions)
We will also have a current list of those who have already volunteered for an event.

There is a Facebook Event Page here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1655595511326184/

Need your nominations this week for the following positions:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Match Secretary
Selectors (1 Forward, 1 Back)

And start thinking about whether you are willing to volunteer for any of the following positions:
Purser
Equipment Manager ( Sylver has already accepted a nomination regarding this position)
Field Set-Up Manager
Social Chairpeople
Publicity Chairperson
Website Manager
New Player Inquiry Responder
Veteran Affairs Chairman - (Alaska has already accepted a nomination for this position)

Committees will be filled as well:
Tour Committee
Social Committee
Publicity Committee
Old Boys Committee
Recruitment/Retention Committee
Sponsorship/Fundraising Committee
Wheelchair Committee

* Look through them and submit your nominations to Aaron by email (you are allowed to nominate yourself). If you are currently in a position, and would like to put yourself forward to continue in that position, Aaron still needs you to tell him. Aaron will close the email nominations by friday night at 11:59p. In person nominations will close at the end of practice on Thursday (8/27)
* Nominees we be notified (if they didn't self-nominate), and be allowed to stand for election or step out (you technically have until the AGM, but the sooner you make your decision, the better).
* A list of all of the email nominees will then be published on Thursday evening(8/27).
* Nominees may opt to prepare a position statement (800 words would probably be the maximum) explaining why they would be the right candidate for the job. Candidates should have these statement turned in by Thursday night.

    * If you have statements: Those statements should be put together in one email and sent out to the club on Wednesday night (8/26).
*

This does allow for absentee voting, but only for extenuating circumstances. You must email Aaron with your reason you can't make it to the AGM. If your excuse is allowed, then he will take your vote. Absentee votes would need to be in by 1pm on Friday, to allow for tabulation.
* Print-outs of the position statement email will be provided at the AGM.
* We can either give each candidate a minute or two (timed) to talk at the AGM, or read their prepared statement aloud, before voting.
* Absentee votes would be added to in-person votes when voting takes place, so winners may be immediately announced.
