Sikorsky shorebirds

10/19  Stratford, Sikorsky Airport, 4:45pm - 93 Black-bellied Plovers (on the
grassy areas feeding on worms), 25 Red Knots & 3 Dunlin (resting on the unused
runway) during the rain and wind of this nor-easter.
We also visited many of the other Stratford coastal areas and were surprised at
the lack of birds around; almost nothing on the harbor, nor on or over LI Sound.
There were a few Chipping Sparrows and a Palm Warbler by the new Animal
Shelter.
