[Ontbirds]Upland Sandpiper - Grimsby
Sun, Apr 10, 2005 1:51 AM
This is one bird I can miss if I don't visit the Carden Alvar later in the season. We saw two Upland Sandpipers today in a wet plowed field on the 10th Concession beside the Dofasco Trail. The birds were from the road as well. North of the trail, east of the road. Directions from 50 Road and Queen Elizabeth Way.

For the 3rd time in the last 10 or so days, Red Crossbills have been observed flying over my house or landing in my conifers. Today a male and female sat in one of my spruces for a few moments and then flew off to the NW.
