Laptops seem more prone to heat build up than desk tops. As global climate change progresses I suspect we will see more cases of over heated computer equipment. Peltier cell coolong has also been used but that is a real power hog. Arild

Re: T&T: VHF Hum

The fact that you have a hum on the VHF indicates that it is receiving its DC with an AC waveform superimposed on top. This could be from several potential causes, but here are my suspicions listed in order: 1. The battery bank that feeds the inverter is becoming high internal resistance. This is indicative of batteries that are near their end. 2.

Google Patent Search is Broken

Physically, it's the same size and shape as the RSMT board itself and will fit directly on top.

From: MY ALLEZ via Trawlers-and-Trawlering [mailto:trawlers@lists.trawlering.com] I use a JABSCO 5 gal bucket with a 12 volt Dc motor on top. It has a switch on motor that you flip to pump oil out of engine and then flip switch in opposite direction to empty bucket.

Re: Curved text in an oval plaque?

Kerning is the related technique of adjusting spacing to account for the different shapes of the glyphs (vs a simple box model) - for instance, pulling AV together, possibly even overlapping their boxes, to avoid putting the white space at the top right of the A next to the white space at the bottom left of the V. > > The easy way to lay out text does neither

I always wondered how people get those clear top to bottom images. Apparently, it's not so easy.
