Re: GL: Thanks to All, cruising around NJ

The key to all of this is for the men to pick their days of travel wisely when their wives are with them. Dont go outside if the waves and chop are enough to move the boat uncomfortably. Instead pick a nice NW wind and hug the beach. She will love that ride.If not, then suck it in and be willing to add time to the trip and go inside.

All chain rode scope question.
Wed, Aug 30, 2006 11:56 PM
However one advantage of all-chain is that in those situations where swinging room is limited due to geography or lots of boats, a five-to-one scope will give you good security in "normal" wind and current conditions. But I would be very hesitant to use five-to-one with a nylon-chain rode.

But to steal tax money from all people to enforce this EU regulation because we want to protect privacy of all people (most of them do not care), is simply not fair. > > Problem? all that websites are from outsite EU, and the 'power' of taht > information don't remains inside the union (outside our interests). Yes.

Thanks to all for great advice about portable generators. Obviously, the Honda 2000i is on the top list. 80% of e-mails I received (12) had only good comments about it. Thanks Ben
